There is increasing health concern associated with the use of agrochemicals in Ukraine, especially in the radioactively polluted areas, where it is not recommended to be in use. A reasonable alternative to agrochemicals maybe the use of microbial inoculants, which serve as biocontrol agents and biofertilizers and have exhibited beneficial effects on plant development. Inoculants are environmentally friendly and cheaper in comparison to agrochemicals as much as ten times. With the idea to develop competitive inoculants, a simple and inexpensive technology – Dual– has been elaborated at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine under the aegis of the Ukrainian Branch of World Laboratory.
